This one's just for us dogs!

My name is Hero.
My Mom rescued me when I was found wandering around in the countryside during the wintertime. Someone called my Mom to tell her that a "strange dog" (that's what they called ME!) had been hanging around their house for three weeks and asked if my Mom would take it. Of course, she said "Of course!" Mom runs
"Bluff Country Canine Rescue" and she helps dogs that don't have homes find really GOOD homes where the people love them and take excellent care of them, and they get to live IN THE HOUSE and everything! Since I was brought to the Rescue, Mom had to pay the "Adoption" fee so that she could keep me forever. She says that I was worth every cent!
Because I am such a NICE dog, I let the other dogs that Mom has rescued talk on MY BLOG once in a while.
I hope you'll stop by often and leave a comment so I know that you visited!

It's a Dog's Life...

Yesterday, Mom and JD left for hours.
They didn't tell us where they were going but Mom seemed pretty excited.  JD of course was just happy to be going, anywhere, with Mom.  All by himself no-less!

I'm still not sure where they went ~ someplace called a  "SPA".
All I know is when they came home, JD was all shiny clean and smelled all purdy.  He even had a little BOW on his collar!  Don't worry, I helped him get rid of that thing...

Bella and Sable and I were all anxious to hear all about where they went and what happened and JD was happy to tell us all about his day.  Cricket was just happy that Mom was home.

It turns out that Julia Crawford, of "PAWSH PETS", in Caledonia, MN. invited any of Mom's rescue dogs to come to her SPA and get "the Royal Treatment" ~ for FREE!  That way they look and smell all clean and bright and it might help them find their own 'Furever Homes".

JD said the first thing Julia did was give him a Manicure

Then a PEDICURE!
(Mom REALLY wants one of these herself!)
I don't know ~ it doesn't look like so much fun to ME!

But then JD got a BATH!  Actually, it was more like a shower.
Heck, Julia even cleaned his EARS and teeth and freshened his BREATH!  I've been meaning to talk to Mom about that.
;-)

When he was all done, Julia rubbed some 'conditioner' into his coat (it makes him all soft and silky) and sprayed him with some smelly stuff that Mom REALLY loves!  In fact, now she thinks the rest of us need a SPA day so that we all smell as good as JD.  I'm not so sure ~ he smells mighty "clean".  I kind of prefer a more rugged, out-doorsy scent!

Ta-Daaaaaa!
The New JD

I tell you what, the girls and I sure gave him a good going over when they got home!

The final verdict?
He's still our JD and we LOVE him!

Heck!
I think he looks good enough to
EAT!!!
 Mom here ~
If you live in the area be sure to check out PAWSH PETS in Caledonia, MN.
Julia is wonderful with the dogs and does an excellent job!  Pawsh Pets also carries a selection of collars and leashes and dog beds, sweaters, etc.  EVERYTHING your dog might need!   I'll be taking Cricket for her Spa day soon.  It's only $20 for the services that JD received and I would LOVE to take Bella and Sable and Hero too ~ because JD smells SO INCREDIBLE and I would Love for all my dogs to smell that incredible!  Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for an extra $60 to go toward my dogs, so they'll have to wait.

Call Julia for an appointment:  725-8885

Thank you Julia for a Job Well Done!!!

  3. How cool!! I can smell that good clean dog smell from here! :-))

I hope all is well with you and the crew!! I'm hoping hoping hoping that now that the food drive is all done, I'll be able to keep up with the comings and goings there! Paws crossed!!

By the way, you asked about Todd's color--I didn't want a black Scottie. When the breeder said it was a 'wheaten litter' I was excited because at least the color would be the same! :-)) HUGS and good thoughts to all of you in your time zone!!!
