This one's just for us dogs!

My name is Hero.
My Mom rescued me when I was found wandering around in the countryside during the wintertime. Someone called my Mom to tell her that a "strange dog" (that's what they called ME!) had been hanging around their house for three weeks and asked if my Mom would take it. Of course, she said "Of course!" Mom runs "Bluff Country Canine Rescue" and she helps dogs that don't have homes find really GOOD homes where the people love them and take excellent care of them, and they get to live IN THE HOUSE and everything! Since I was brought to the Rescue, Mom had to pay the "Adoption" fee so that she could keep me forever. She says that I was worth every cent!
Because I am such a NICE dog, I let the other dogs that Mom has rescued talk on MY BLOG once in a while.

Sometimes my Mom is Selfish...


Mom got to go visit Jill (I guess her name is LOLA now) this week!


Jill/Lola lived with Mom even before I came to live here!  She came from someplace called "North Carolina" and I guess she didn't have a family or anything and was at some terrible place where they were going to "put her to sleep" ~ when she wasn't even TIRED!


So, Mom "rescued" Lola and brought her to the Bluff Country.
She sure was fun!  We all loved to play with her.  'Specially me and Cisco.

So, of course, I wanted to go with Mom when she was going to go visit Lola!


But Mom said:  "Not this time".

I think she was afraid that Lola would be so excited to see ME that she wouldn't pay any attention to Mom!  I guess I shouldn't be mad.  Poor Mom misses Lola SO much that she needed to have some time with just her. I miss her too and Mom promised that the next time she goes to visit Lola, I can go too!

It's kind of quiet around here without Lola so Mom is going to "rescue" a couple new dogs and bring them to stay with us for a while.  I guess there's a good-looking HOUND DOG coming next week.  Mom said he doesn't have a family to love him anymore and we're going to help him find someplace wonderful like Jill ~ I mean LOLA ~ has now.

Maybe Mom's not so selfish after all.

    Hero is right. The reason I didn't want to take him with me when I went to see Jill ~ now Lola, is because I was afraid she'd be so excited to see him that she wouldn't pay any attention to ME! And I really needed some snuggle time with "my" sweet little girl...

    Lola's a very lucky girl to have your Mum save her, but I just know she'll be back really soon for your own snuggle time! And a new furiend. How good is that??
