This one's just for us dogs!

My name is Hero.
My Mom rescued me when I was found wandering around in the countryside during the wintertime. Someone called my Mom to tell her that a "strange dog" (that's what they called ME!) had been hanging around their house for three weeks and asked if my Mom would take it. Of course, she said "Of course!" Mom runs "Bluff Country Canine Rescue" and she helps dogs that don't have homes find really GOOD homes where the people love them and take excellent care of them, and they get to live IN THE HOUSE and everything! Since I was brought to the Rescue, Mom had to pay the "Adoption" fee so that she could keep me forever. She says that I was worth every cent!
Because I am such a NICE dog, I let the other dogs that Mom has rescued talk on MY BLOG once in a while.

Mom's Crying...


She sure does a LOT of that!
GOOD crying, that is.
You see, Mom is going to go visit with another dog that she rescued but that got adopted into a wonderful, "forever home" a few weeks ago.  
Her name was "Jill"


Jill lived here for four months and during that time, Mom REALLY grew to love her a whole bunch! Even more than she usually does with us 'rescue dogs' because Jill got really sick and THEN she got blind! 



Fortunately, Mom took really good care of Jill and she got ALL BETTER!  She sure was a LOT of fun to play with!


Last month, a really nice man and lady came and visited us and they asked if they could take Jill home and let her be their "Baby".  Mom checked them out to make sure that they'd take real good care of our girl and decided that she liked them and they would make a good family with Jill.


But we were still all really sad to see Jill go!
Cisco almost talked the people into letting him go live with them too!
Jill had become so much a part of our family.

Mom cried for days.

But today, Mom is crying HAPPY TEARS because she's going to go visit Jill in her new home!  She told me that Jill's Forever Mom & Dad have changed her name to "Lola".  We like that name.  It fits our exotic little beauty.  I begged Mom to let me go visit "Lola" with her (so we could play!) but Mom said not this time.  I think she's afraid that Lola will pay more attention to ME that she will to Mom...
