My name is Hero. My Mom rescued me when I was found wandering around in the countryside during the wintertime. Someone called my Mom to tell her that a "strange dog" (that's what they called ME!) had been hanging around their house for three weeks and asked if my Mom would take it. Of course, she said "Of course!" Mom runs "Bluff Country Canine Rescue" and she helps dogs that don't have homes find really GOOD homes where the people love them and take excellent care of them, and they get to live IN THE HOUSE and everything! Since I was brought to the Rescue, Mom had to pay the "Adoption" fee so that she could keep me forever. She says that I was worth every cent! Because I am such a NICE dog, I let the other dogs that Mom has rescued talk on MY BLOG once in a while. I hope you'll stop by often and leave a comment so I know that you visited!

You won't believe your eyes!
My Mom's Sister-in-law (what the heck is that???) sent her a bunch of pictures of dogs in a place called CHINA. I've never seen anything like it in my LIFE!!! Check these out...
Apparently, some people in China like to spend LOTS of money to make their dogs look like anything other than DOGS!
Lol, they are kind of cool. I have to wonder what the dogs think of all the fuss though. Hopefully they enjoy all the attention it takes to make them look like that.
I have to admit to tie-dying a friend's dog once. She was almost all white and just begging to be dyed, so we pulled out some food coloring and put temporary color in her coat. It only lasted about a week, though, and wasn't nearly that bright.
I have to admit, they ARE really beautiful! I groomed dogs professionally for twenty-some years and I can't begin to imagine how long it would take to create some of those.
I think we did food-color dying on our toy poodles, for Easter one year, when I was still a kid. I do remember that they always seemed SO proud (even arrogant!) after they were groomed...
Those poor dogs. I would be SO embarrassed!
